Hello. I'm MC.
I am deeply in love with music. I'm pretty certain that I've found my footing the minute I attended the Encounters With A Yeti's album launch, Pilot, on April 2012 - the first time I've been to a gig. Where I also cried. Just a month or so later, I began writing for Vandals On The Wall (VOTW), because Ian made me (really). And that was probably the best "yes" I've given to anyone so far - even knowing squat about the local independent scene at the time, let alone writing about it. A year later, Miao of Amplify.ph found me through VOTW and asked me to become a partner blogger, where I've been making monthly playlists ever since. That's pretty much what I do to help and give back to all these incredibly amazing and talented community I happen to call home. The mutual support and inspiration that constantly fuel my drive and passion to do what I do, at the best of my ability. I find that happiness in our local music is immaterial. Resources (especially financial) are finite, but every time I hear them play, whether at gigs/shows or through my iPod any time of the day, I feel overwhelmingly happy and at the same time, overcome with desire to help in any way I can. I forever salute each and everyone of you. Everyone who makes it possible for our music to thrive, not just merely survive.
